This is a generalisation, but in my experience, New York ladies tend to be broad-minded, forward-thinking and independent. If you are hoping to meet a lady in New York, I strongly suggest you treat her with the utmost respect.

New York “chicks” like people that can spell, dislike the use of the word “chick” to describe them, and have well-rounded, educated, and cultured men (or women) from which they can select.

yeah… MINTILINT hit the nail on the haead, & by the answers you got earlier…you have already received a taste of new york women … most are mean and conceited…always in a hurry and very hard to get past their layers of defenses that they all have up!!!

Once you get past the exterior defenses… you have women of all types in New York (just like everywhere else)...

Finally, the most stereotypical New Yorkers will probably be from somewhere else…trying to fit it.

Heheheee we’re not all that bitchy! NYC is a huge city and as such, there are all sorts of chicks here, even those of us who don’t mind being called chicks :)

However, the only generalization I can make is, native New York women will probably tend to be more suspicious, less likely to respond to a stranger’s hello etc. because there a lot of sleazy guys here so we tend to have our guard up. So… if you are kickin it to a girl and she’s very friendly in return – then she’s probably a tourist! hehehehhe

i’m only in new york about 4 months out of the year… so i’m not really a new yorker, but i’ve sort of developed a bad attitude about men from spending time there.

as a friend from new york once said, “i can’t get a man in this city. all my dream men are dating other men.”

there you have it. if you’re good looking and clean, chances are we’ll assume you’re gay. or just too good to be true.
