Not worth visiting!

Untitled

I think this is where it is. I went to the Red Light District in London, by accident. Let’s just say it was “interesting” being 12 years old with my 10 year old brother trying to find our way out of it. Quite difficult keeping his eyes covered while trying to cross a street and go down several blocks. It was a memorable experience, but I don’t plan on ever going here again.

Not really the red light district

Soho gets a bad rep – in fact the prossies in Soho are few and far between. Most of the “hardcore filth” relocated to the grubby area around Kings Cross, and Soho mainly consists of coffee bars, restaurants, pubs and some really good independent shops – whilst the workforce is mainly in film and broadcast post-production, or in the age-old Soho jobs of tailoring.

I think you just went into the southern part of Soho around Walkers Court (aka “Sleaze Alley”), home of the famous Raymond Revue Bar – even if that’s actually now closed and is a club called Too2Much and used to host swanky celeb parties.

Yes, there’s still a bit of sleaze around, but very little to be frank.
