Compost loo – the waste material is recycled as compost, or humanure if you will, to help grow things with.
That’s what the Centre for Alternative Technology is all about.

How do you like using that kind of toilet? Had fun?
Now that you mentioned, I remember I did use this kind of ‘DIY’ compost toilet system in Swedish summer home before..pretty unusal ;)
You might like to know that we have this World Toilet Org here in Singapore. Founded by a Singaporean who organised yearly Summit & Expo in different countries. We even have this World Toilet College (WTC) here in Singapore :P
I heard they’ve also helped facilitate the toilets in Bejing for their upcoming olympic game in 2008.
