Worth visiting!
The first time I visited I stayed in Donegal Town at the hostel.
Plenty of fun: tours and museums.
Very few places to go in Donegal by bus. Some places only get the bus once a week. Plan ahead or rent a car.
The second time a friend and I rented a car. Too bad she was so shy. We had fun anyway.

Donegal is one of the most scenic counties in Ireland, the Atlantic coast with it’s rugged landscape is a paradise for the photographer, It’s a gem of a place.

I’ll go one better on IrishPatrick’s comment. For me Donegal is the most scenic county in Ireland. The proprieter of Green Gate B&B near Ardara is of the same opinion.
Several cabbies in Donegal Town asked if I wanted to hire them for the day. This is an excellent way to see the county.
I don’t recognize the Peace Cairn in IrishPatrick’s photo. Consequently, I have another reason to visit.
