La Crosse definitely has more to offer than just beer, bars and college students. La Crosse is nestled between amazing bluffs and the Mighty Mississippi. There are tons of outdoor activities to do here…things most people travel all over the world to do and we have it right here in our own backyard (skiiing, fishing, boating, hiking, etc.). This is truly a beautiful location with the fall leaves, winter landscapes, summer on the river/beaches, and the flowers of spring. There is a wide variety of places to eat and things to do in town and the outlying communities. In summer, there is a festival every weekend focusing on everything from corn (Corn Fest in Holmen, WI) to milk (June Dairy Days in West Salem) or 4th of July (Riverfest in La Crosse). There is always something to do here, and once you get past the age of the college drinking and bar scene, you’ll amaze yourself at what this area has to offer!
