it felt like I was tripping. People are all so nice. I mean seriously nice. A nice attendant got us VIP seats on the Eye thingy just because we asked how to get reimbursed cos the queue was two hours long and we didn’t have time, and then a spectacular bit of misreading on my part meant I missed my eurostar but the nice lady let me on the next one without giving me a lecture (hopefully this will catch on in parisien banks) or charging me (that would be a good thing to catch on here too).
And everyone seemed to be between the ages of 20-40, although I am sure there are some socio-economic demographics that explain that. It was like REM’s shiny happy people. Highly colourful. And the sun was shining.
Paris seems grey and grumpy in comparison :(
