despite the obnoxious tourism, Venezia is as romantic as it gets. its small and walkable and I completely recommend getting lost multiple times. (you will always find your way back) there are all sorts of amazing treasures to be found: architecture, churches (tons of them), cafés, gelato, beads, glass, masks… and ride in a gondola.
