I spent a year here, for graduate school, and I miss it so much - it’s a beautiful little city. The cathedral, castle, river, bridges - everyone should visit by train, so you can see it all as the train pulls in.

the best view of the city is to be had from the viaduct. It was always such a lovely way to arrive back from an out-of-town trip on a sunday evening and know you were nearly home, seeing the castle and the cathedral all lit up.
