I went to Atlanta for business last year and loved the place. People are very friendly. The only thing that was a bit surprising for a European is the inability to do anything without a car. People looked at me with a puzzled look because I was walking in the street rather than driving round. Cool place though with a lot of interesting history. For anybody interested in the latter, I suggest you read “Where Peachtree Meets Sweet Auburn” by Gary M. Pomerantz.
