My uncle affectionately referred to north Portland as the hood. he was hoping to retire there, fix up a little house and enjoy the neiborhoods’ many features. Unfortunately he passed away. Sometimes I drive through and imagine how things would have been different. I love north Portland, maybe I’ll retire there myself one day.
