About the CRO by PurpleHeather
Cornwall Record Office (CRO) was established by Cornwall County Council in 1951 and cares for the largest archive collection in the county, with environmentally-controlled strongrooms holding over four miles of records, dating from the 12th century to the present day. We have approximately 5000 research visits and 12,000 enquiries a year. Although the majority of our enquiries relate to family and property history anyone is welcome to visit the Record Office and use our services.
