I worked in Seattle for a brief couple of months about 8 years ago. I’d say that it was perhaps more of a ‘working’ city than a tourist trap – and that it to its credit.

Like all American cities, it’s worth visiting for the cultural facilities and buildings – which easily outstrip the general quality and size of equivalents in Europe.

Also, it’s within easy striking distance of the Cascade Mountains – which are simply stunning.
