Why would you immediately draw that conclusion? Hotels are built for many reasons and in many places, but that doesn’t mean a place that has a hotel is a destination spot in and of itself. Take Foster City for instance: It has plenty of upscale hotels, but unless you had family or friends living in Foster City, and you were traveling to California on vacation, you would have zero reason to stop in Foster City. My comment was not a put down to EPA (I grew up in the Bay Area), but rather a comment to travelers that EPA, Foster City (you’ll notice that while I say it’s “worth visiting”—that is for personal reasons—I go on to say that for a traveler, there is no point in going there), and many other little cities throughout the Bay Area aren’t worth planning day-trips to when you are traveling to CA on vacation.
