When I set out on my road trip, I made it a point to draw a route that would touch every state I’ve never been to in the lower 48. North Dakota was the last of those states, and I have to admit, after driving through Montana, I was a bit burn out! I don’t think I gave North Dakota the chance it deserved, but I did make it a point to get out in a real, unadvertised ghost town (Marmarth, ND). That made it worth it!
