I grew up half and hour from the redwoods, and they hold a special place in my heart.
It is difficult for my husband and I to get back to that part of California, but someday I want to show him their unique beauty.
Just thinking about the redwoods makes me happy. I can almost smell them now. :)

Redwood’s coastline is so beautiful that even without the park’s forest giants and mountains, it alone would make a compelling case for national park status. Rugged, with stretches of steep, rocky cliff broken by rolling slopes, it is largely unaltered by humans. Summer and springs are the best time to visit the National Park and enjoy the crowd as well.
