The first impressions I got of Canada were via Vancouver airport! And I wasn’t let down. Wow! It actually has a huge aquarium and water features in the middle of all the shops. Of course, there is the ubiquitous Tom Hortons included (yay!). Better than McDonalds.

Good grief – Gatwick only has grey walls and long queues to over-priced (but fair play quite tasty and decent baguettes) food counters.

And how quiet? It was practically deserted compared to English airports. IT was so quiet and stress-free. Although nothing, not even the gleaming airport could console my depression on the thought of returning to the UK!

Amazed. A little ol’ Welsh person. Amazed just by the airport!
