New York, New York (and Binghamton, Niagara Falls, etc...) by DerJon

I live in Pennsylvania, about two hours out of NYC with the train. I also live close to Binghamton, and have taken numerous trips through the state to get to Canada or New England. There is a lot more to New York than just NYC, but that’s where I am going to start. When German friends come to visit, they ALWAYS want to go to New York, and they don’t mean the state. They are always in awe of the sky scrapers, and enjoy themselves. I also went to the Nintendo Store grand openning. It was so exciting, and I still have a sealed bottle of water to prove I was there!

I went to Binghamton for a B Mets game. It’s one of the Mets’ farm teams. It’s a working man’s town, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Niagara Falls is just as nice as everyone says it is. The American side is crumbling, the Canadian ‘Horseshoe Falls’ is stunning. I would love to see them in the winter!

All of New York is nice, in all honesty. I know I’ll be going back, whether for a show, another trip through, or just because; it doesn’t matter!

Niagara Falls NY

Peak numbers of visitors occur in the summertime, when Niagara Falls are both a daytime and evening attraction. The oldest and best known tourist attraction at Niagara Falls is the Maid of the Mist boat cruise, named for an ancient Ongiara Indian mythical character, which has carried passengers into the rapids immediately below the Falls since 1846. Cruise boats operate from boat docks on both sides of the falls.
