Worth visiting!

Scotland in miniature?

That’s the saying, and it’s pretty accurate. The highlands in the north, lowlands south, desolate north-west, fault-line running through.

It’s a great place to spend time – close to Glasgow, but still an “away from it all” feeling. Golf is great, and some fabulous mountain biking. The hills at the back of Lamlash have some sweet singletrack, and the run to Kilmory over the hills is a really good day out, or just under an hour blast if you feel like going for it. Recommend The Lighthouse over on the west of the island in Pirnmill for great food and atmosphere, also Brodick Bar in, well, Brodick. Beautifully finished interior, with polished hardwoods etc. Nice to see, as Brodick can be a bit of a Blackpool…
