Viva Peru! by barbarino

I am writing this from the Libertador Hotel in Cusco, and will be taking the Vistadome train for a 3 hour journey to Machu Picchu tomorrow!! I´m so excited. Today we´re seeing a number of ruins in the Sacred Valley area. I´m taking lots of photos and will post a few when I get back to the states.

Re: Very exciting!

How have you been doing? What’s happening in NJ-NY?

I just spent the last two days in Machu Picchu…it was amazing. The Incas were an incredible people, and I was impressed with what they were able to build considering they lacked the modern day tools and equipment that we have at our disposal.

Today we went whitewater rafting on the Urumbamba river…also a blast. I’ll have to send you some photos from my trip.

Hey, 43places is really buggy!

I’m having a hard time responding to your message! Other than that, I’m doing all right. Not much new is going on here in NJ-NY, just the same old me things going on. Tomorrow I might go see a Picasso exhibit at a gallery in Chelsea, but I don’t have any big trips like yours planned. I’d love to see pics. I’ve never been there, but I’m sure it was impressive like you mentioned. I saw a documentary on the Incas, and some speculate that aliens actually assisted them with their technology. I don’t believe in all that sci-fi stuff, but it’s definitely interesting.
