Worth visiting!

Topsham, ME

It used to be more of a town then a city. Recently, new additions and buildings are being added. Ruby Tuesday, Target, 99, Home Depot, and a Wendy’s are a few of the buildings added within the last 6 years.

Why is this place name so familiar?

Is it by Portland, or more toward the Blue Mountains and Highway 2?

This is really bugging me.

What else is in Topsham? What sort of pre-colonial or other history does it have?

Topsham

Topsham, Maine is about 20 minutes away from Portland. It’s sister city, Brunswick, used to be home to an old casino. Brunswick was formerly a great lumber-producing place, having had, half a century ago: thirty saw mills. Topsham is situated at the head of tide water on the Androscoggin, and is midway between Portland and Augusta. Brunwsick is also the home to Bowdoin college, so many college kids come here for fun.

Also, in Topsham, we have the Topsham fair grounds which have been place for an annual summer fair, for 152 strait years.

Have you visited before?

If not, and if you are planning on it, you should definitely visit the Sea Dog Brewery. It is located on the Androscoggin River and is in one of the most beautiful historic buildings Maine has to offer. A definite score!
