Worth visiting!

jeddah :)

i’m an indonesian, but i consider jeddah as my home :) my family has lived here for about 16+ years..

jeddah has transformed from a traditional boring city to a magnificent liveable city…. you can find lots of malls here! love the discounts! love everything about it! except that women are not allowed to drive here :( hope the law will change in the next few years…

There are no laws actually which prevents woman driving in KSA, its just a cultural issue .

it's a law

NO! it’s a law made by them. we’re not allowed to drive over there! islam never prevents us from driving a car, so why do they bother about making this stupid law???

I got my facts right , recently the king announced that there’s no law in the constitution which prevents woman from driving , he said this in an interview,i also checked various sources in the saudi law where there is no mention of preventing woman to drive , and at another place it was also reported in BBC news as well , what happend is that 100 woman signed a petition which allowes woman to drive but 500 woman signed against the petition which made the decision delayed , woman driving will be allowed in a matter of some years or so , as its the woman who acutally prevented the petiton to go ahead , and agian its not an religious issue but a cultural one . Many people living here in ksa and abroad belives that its prevented by the law but that’s acutally not the case .
