Bucks County, PA by JargonTalk

This is a wonderful place to live or just to visit. Just NE of Philadelphia, Bucks County offers a wide variety of great places to live along with a wide variety of diversions. The Township of Bensalem is in the SW area of Bucks County, and is convenient to Philadelphia, while still offering a bit of wooded charm. New Hope is a lot of fun, especially on weekends, and is located on the Delaware River just across from Lambertville, NJ. The James A. Michener Art Museum, named after the writer, is an independent institution located in Doylestown (the county seat), and is dedicated to exhibiting the art and cultural heritage of the Bucks County, including a world-class collection of Pennsylvania Impressionist paintings. The Bucks County Playhouse is in New Hope, and is where many Broadway shows had their start. Bucks County is convenient to Philly, and is a great place to go if you’re staying in the city, but just want a short drive away from the concrete into heavily wooded areas and a bit (yes, still) of farmland. Also check out Peddlers’ Village for shopping or just strolling and browsing in a unique atmosphere. Could write more, but try a few Google searches for yourself. A transplant from New England and the South, have been here for eight years now, and don’t plan on leaving.
