Worth visiting!
Wonderful Wells Cathedral
Wells is worth visiting for Wells Cathedral alone. The astounding West Front is covered with carvings, while the interior is dominated by the unusual upside-down “scissor arches”. Other highlights include the wonderful stone carvings everywhere, the Medieval Clock and Escher-esque stairs to the Chapter House.
Highlights in the city outside (the smallest official city in the UK) include Vicars Row and the Bishops Palace.
