Best roller coaster in Disney World by MFM

We waited in line once, Fastpassed once and then waited in the single rider line – so THREE rides in a row for me!! Everest is fun and fast. The story of the Yeti terrorizing a tea company trekking train is cute. Even waiting in line is ok – lots to look at along the way.

Disney lines

One thing that I really like about a lot of the queue areas for a many of Disney’s newer attractions is that they have pleasant diversions to help make standing in line more enjoyable.

The lines were endless

We got home just hours ago and I already had a survey from Disney in which I lamented the lines. Even with Fastpass the lines are endless. In the newer attractions and parks (like this one) they have gone to some trouble to decorate in an interesting way and that was not lost on me.

I liked the fact that they posted wait times and had Fastpass available, but stll felt as if most of my time in every park was spent walking to or waiting for something.

Expectation Management

I also like the way that they tell you how long to expect to wait in line. My experience has been that they tend to overestimate the wait.

I’ve noticed too that the new ride almost always has an unbearably long line. We usually try to hit them early in the morning or Fast Pass them.

One of my favorite bits on the Simpsons...

is when Bart and family come upon a huge line to which Bart quips, “this ride must be great.”

Pan through this humongous line where at the end there is simply an old lady in a booth who says, “GETBENT”….

That is a good one

Some of those rides do seem anticlimatic after a 45 minutes wait. Rock and Roll Roller Coaster comes to mind. I was left thinking “Was that it?”
