when we were little because of the colour of the tarmac (it matches that of the forecourt of Buckingham Palace down the road). So it’s apt that it’s one of the “pink set” of properties in Monopoly :)

I don’t recall a property called Pall Mall on Monopoly.
Must be a different version for the UK ?

they must be different for every country. All the properties on the UK version are in London. There is a great book by Tim Moore called Do Not Pass Go when he visits all the places on the Monopoly board and tries to figure out why those particular locations were chosen for the UK version of the game.
