Hotel Bottle Beach by Mazi

On a bright sunny shoreline,

Hot sun on my shoulders.

Cold sweat of the Big Chang,

Running down my fingers.

Up ahead and around the corner,

I saw the ghost of the last Tallboat approach.

My mind started to wonder,

Who will the boat bring today?

There they stood with their backpacks,

Confused looking each and every way.

At last the wind showed them the way,

For all have their destiny here today.

They walked to find their fate,

As the wind whispered in their ears:

Welcome to the Bottle Beach,

Where all are friends and there are no fears.

Here some smoke to remember,

The forgotten colors of the seas.

And some drink to forget,

The pale cold mask of their cities.

Welcome to the Bottle Beach,

Said the women with the chocolate color skin.

Such a lovely place, Such a lovely face.

Plenty of Bungalows to rent at the Bottle Beach,

Anytime of year, You can find me hear,

Then she whispered as they passed her by,

Holding a smile as bright as the sky,

Just one thing to remember,

Here at the Bottle Beach,

You can check out anytime you like,

But you can never leave

Welcome to the Bottle Beach,

Where all are friends and there are no fears.

Here some smoke to remember,

The forgotten colors of the seas.

And some drink to forget,

The pale cold mask of their cities.

Thank you for the awsome song Melody

Thank you!!

That poem was fabulous. We went to Bottle Beach, checked out 3 times, and stayed 5 days. (Our initial intention was 1 day.) Your poem really resonated with us. ;) I don’t think I will ever forget the feeling after a boat dropped us there. Good Luck!
