the car ferry from Southampton docks. We had a wander around the immediate vicinity of the ferry port and found the sea smells along the seafront pretty overwhelming! Some nice views of Cowes.

According to a couple of other tourists we met, there is a castle in East Cowes, but they didn’t know where it was.
