I basically live here. by WalshFerdinand

Yeah. I’ve been living here all of my life – in the unincorporated area (Borders: Gilbert St, Broadway, Brookhurst and Katella St.) so we’re free to do anything we want with minimal response from the cops. That means farm animals in the backyard, 3 or more cars on the front lawn..that good stuff.

What to say about it? I wish I lived in the downtown/historical area. The houses there are very nice and each has its own character.

I only go to Disneyland because I know people who work there so I go in for free. It’s fun to play “Spot the Tourist”. xD But the Anaheim I love has nothing to do with Disneyland (Some locals, like me, have a hate/love relationship with the place).

The parks, residential areas, local stores, and just the sheer number of different people you’ll meet.

There’s a tired feeling where I live, and it’s basically stuck in the late 1950’s, early 60’s with a lot of Googie buildings — if you know where to look.

I’m sad that the Book Baron closed down ; a great store of used books.

If you come here to Anaheim, be sure to check out more than Disneyland, as this is a nice town. It’s crappy in most areas, an eclectic mix of houses (Just check my Flickr account!) and really great parks.
