Ended up going to St-Pierre on a class trip. This was unlikely for me because my french sucked. My memories are hazy – it was 16 years ago – but I remember the waterfront as being quite nice, and the people were quite friendly. Eventually i hope to visit again with my better half.

Added bonus – though it’s just off the coast of Newfoundland, it’s part of France – so my non-traveling ass has been to France. Huzzah!
