Spent a couple of months during the fall of 2004 visiting Luzon, Leyte, and mostly Samar, as well as islands to small to be visible by map. Had the time of my life, one might say. So many great experiences! One of the many: roasting a pig, called lichon, on the beach! The food was amazing and endless! Warm and accomodating people! The surroundings were breathtaking. The daily life fast paced and moving, where as one visiting can slow down and take it all in. What can I say, but to just to go fly out there and enjoy it yourself!
