I was too late in noticing your message, and am WAY too late in replying.
I did make it down to the Triple Rock, to the Guthrie, and to Nye’s Polonaise, as well as a little bit into the Warehouse district.
It was hard for me to be a good tourist because A. I wanted to avoid schlocky things and find cool people hanging out in their native environs which is always tricky as a visitor, and B. The 8-5 conference schedule didn’t lend itself to too much travel.
I’m also horrified by what seems like a tendency of downtowners to only move around in the skyways? The habitrail seems to be where people are. Downtown (3rd to Hennepin/nicolette mall) always seemed inordinately unpopulated.
What do you think about that?
