I'm going!!!!!

I got an email this morning from Travelzoo, saying that Qantas was offering a $380 roundtrip fare from LAX, which included most of the taxes. I got on there, and I found a ticket for $515, including all taxes, fees, etc…. ROUND TRIP! I’m using my United miles to get from DFW to LAX… So, I’m going in November!! My United trip only costs me $5… so I’m flying from home to Sydney for $520!! I am so excited, I must start planning now! I’m hoping to maybe visit Melbourne AND Sydney… but we’ll see!

I know.

With the airline industry being like it is, I suspect we will see fewer and fewer deals… but I keep on looking for them. Do you use kayak[dot]com? I love that site, especially the map that lets you see the cheapest fares from your destination. A throw back to Travelocity, but allows you to see international destinations as well. I’ve found many deals through that wonderful site.

I’ve heard a lot about kayak. I’ve looked at it a few times, but never really used it.

I took a look at it based on your recommendation. I like the graphic that it displays showingt the days when the lowest fares are available.

It’s an AWESOME site. I use it all the time. I’m starting to use farecast[dot]com too… but I still prefer Kayak.

Yes indeed!

Trips are always much more fun when you know you are getting a steal! I can’t even fly to NYC for the holiday weekend for that right now! I am so excited about the great deal I got on the fare!
