Not worth visiting!

Overheard at this place

While going through security the TSA screener who checks your ID said to me:

“Oooooh, nice driver’s license. It’s so shiny.”

I guess jobs like that can turn your brain mushy after a while. I would have laughed out loud, but held it in for fear of being strip searched.

At Least

He didn’t put his hand to your face and stroke your cheek saying, “Oh what a pretty boy . . . ” and laugh wickedly. LOL.

You're right. It could have been a lot worse.

Doris,

You are miraculous. You bring out the bright side of any situation. You are absolultely right. It could have been a whole lot worse. I guess people who are attracted to small shiny objects should be among the least of my worries .

Bright Side

I don’t always initially see the bright side, but God has so been working on this chick. When Hannalee threw up the other night, after I’d only been asleep for 3 hrs and already quite sleep deprived, I had to come up with something positive.

  • At least she threw up in her bed and not all over the walls.
  • At least the throw up didn’t drip onto Sean’s bunk bed (she’s on the top)
  • At least there was no trading Monday, so I can recover.
  • At least she’s not real feverish.
  • At least Sean slept threw the whole thing
  • At least I had a steam vac for what she did get on the rug
  • At least the vomit wasn’t on the side where the steam vac doesn’t go and I didn’t have to move the heavy bunk bed

There’s always a brighter side. I began just being thankful for all those things and more, and I managed to not swear or even get mad in my very tired state, as saw it as an opportunity to catch up on some things while I waited for things to wash and dry.

There is always a brighter side, no matter how terrible or horrific the situation.

A good way to view the world. Like you I try not to grumble and complain about the troubles that are thrown my way. I try to see them as opportunities.

I look at my experience with the TSA person as a way to see how fortunate I am in my own line is not so repititious and mundane that I don’t have to look upon seeing a person with a shiny driver’s license as the high point of my day.
