I walked up to the memorial, but was not able to go inside. They are open to the public for tours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Unfortunately I could never get away to go up there until after closing. One day I made it up there shortly after 5:00 p.m. There are signs there warning you to stay away after hours. However, there were still people there, walking around on the grounds, so I figured that it wouldn’t hurt to walk around and take a few pictures.

It’s a very interesting structure. It is beautifully illuminated at night.

It sits atop a hill, giving it a very distant look, but it was only a few minutes’ walk from my hotel.
