It was about 4 in the morning when we finally reached our hotel. Now, my mother speaks Thai fluently, but she wasn’t prepared for what was going to happen next.
We were hungry so we asked a cab driver if he could take us to a restaurant. He did.
The restaurant was nothing special, but you could pick your favourite sea food from a bunch of tanks. We had crab and a lobster, along with some fried rice.
The food wasn’t the best I’d had, but somehow the whole dinner ended up costing us $450.
A terrible mistake we made. We still joke about it almost everyday.
