I will be going to Moscow in September this year with some friends. Flights and accommodation are sorted, we still have to get the visa but im getting really excited now. :) Can anyone tell me how cold it is in September?

Of course, there is no snow yet in September, and usually it isn’t cold in this season.
But I recommend you get a sweater or something like it. You should get autumn coat, also. And something on head, – a cap, for instance.
But if you will lucky it will be sunshine.
Anyhow, you can see weather forecast on international or Russian sites :-)
If you have leisure time I recommend you to go to St. Petersburg. People there are a lot more kindly to tourists.

From what you have said, hopefully we will get some sun when we are there. I was going to check the weather forcast nearer the time but as they are generaly only for a week prior i thought it best to get a general idea now :)
