Worth visiting!

A question about this place:
Are motorcycles a nice way to get around? I was thinking about getting a Honda Silver Wing, but I'm not sure about the weather.  — 7 months ago

The roads in the countryside are small, windy and often in bad condition. And yes, it does rain a lot even during the summer, but if you have proper gear (for longer trips), that shouldn’t matter too much.

Motorcycles are especially handy in Dublin traffic jams, where you can just fly past a loooong queue of cars. Silver Wing wouldn’t be the handiest, if you’re thinking of buying a motorcycle for your daily commute you should maybe opt for something more compact.

But I cannot stress this enough, the level or rain here is something quite extraordinary. I’m sure you’ll discover it yourself once you get here.

I always thought moving into a new country was like moving into a new house – you have to live in for a while until you know what things you want to get to make it your own! :)

Well, traffic congestion in Dublin is a major problem even though it is a very small city. A motorbike would be much better than a car. When I move to Ireland I’m going to get a bicycle. From your perspective, the weather will be colder and very wet.
