Why I want to go to this place
My life has been blessed with 5 amazing young men, whom we mentored/adopted from Sudan. They are also known as The Lost Boys of Sudan. They arrived here May of 2001 with nothing but a backpack and high hopes and dreams. They are truly an inspiration to me…They have had a horrific life in Sudan and in the refugee camps for years.
My 5 “sons” are hopeful there will be peace in Sudan and they will be able to return and contribute in helping their people.
James – Graduated from a selective university, working and applying to Grad Schools.
The others – are going to the local college and working full-time. They are achieving their dreams in being educated and having freedom. One day soon, it is my hope, after many many conversations with them about Sudan, I will join them on their journey back for the first time. I am their mother here in the states, I pray I can hand them over to their mothers in Sudan.
