Not worth visiting!
Never understood the naming of this area since it’s not on the beach at all. It’s an okay place to live but not for visiting, utterly boring. North Beach, the northern part of Miami Beach, on the other hand is a good alternative to South Beach.

The areas around Biscayne Bay have been named … and re-named, over the past 50 years as development and gentrification has taken place. North Miami Beach is from the days when the “Billion Dollar Sandbar” was in it’s post-war heyday, but not all of the area up to Aventura was yet developed. Oldtimers told me about when they could almost “walk across the bay” (before WW I) and gators might grab you on the way home if you stayed out too late on some roads!
