The best Chinatown I’ve been to.
Granted, that’s out of, um… two. I think. And San Francisco’s lost points on not having an item I was looking to buy. To wit: size 13 wicker instep cloth sandals.

San Francisco, Melbourne, Sydney, and London all have interesting places, but Vancouver has the best marketplace and general “bustle” of a real working community.
Meanwhile, the restaurants in Vancouver and Melbourne are the tops on my list – not pretentious (in fact quite the opposite) but simply incredibly good Cantonese style food.
