I remember a guide telling us about the pumice stone and showing us how much lighter it is than it looks. You start out at Bunny Flat and walk less than 2 miles to get to the Sierra Club Cabin which is something like 75 years old and they show you how deep snow gets there in the winter—way deeper than the cabin. It’s on my list of places to return to in Mt. Shasta.
