Worth visiting!
I wish I’d let my dad take my picture in front of anything in this town, but I was far too angsty to pose in front of the Roslyn mural, therefore the picture we have is of a stranger posing there.

You must come back and get your picture taken in front of the mural with the camel. May I ask what brought you to Roslyn? It’s a bit out of the way unless you know someone there or are a Northern Exposure fan.
One of our local TV stations shows Northern Exposure from 11:30pm to 12:30am on Saturday nights. Every time I notice it’s on I can’t resist sitting down to watch, even though I should be going to bed. I should just look for the DVDs and buy them I suppose.

I was 13 at the time and I was definitely a Northern Exposure fan—we used to get reruns around midnight and I’d stay up late and watch.
If I remember correctly, we were en route from my uncle’s old home in Seattle to a conference in Spokane, and my parents made a point of taking me to Roslyn (don’t think anyone else in the family watched the show). Can’t believe I was “too cool” to let them commemorate my visit on film. Teenagers!
I noticed recently that we get reruns on weekdays, now that I have cable. I love the show but have never splurged on the DVDs. There are probably some good used prices these days.
