Worth visiting!
Great state with lots of cool stuff. I drove the entire 40 East, and got an eyeful of Oklahoma. The scenery is really nice and orderly. I notices some abandoned houses and old barns along the route, which really adds flavor to the drive.

A while back when I was arguing for North Dakota as the most desolate/God forsaken state in the Union; somebody put forth Oklahoma as a candidate.

I haven’t been to North Dakota, but from what I heard it is more desolate than Oklahoma.
Oklahoma seemed kind of cool if you like rural stuff. I’d like to hike around and check out the abandoned buildings.
I taught an ESL course section on the Dustbowl and Great Depression (history standards, building prior knowledge, etc) and it is hard to believe that area was a dust encrusted wasteland.
