What was unique for me about my visit to Dr Pepper Ballpark ... by memphisrain

When I went to what-was-then Dr Pepper/7 Up Ballpark in Frisco on the last day of the 2003 Texas League baseball season, it was the first time I had ever seen my hometown team, the Arkansas Travelers, play on the road. They were facing the home-standing Frisco Rough Riders, the Texas Rangers’ Double-A affiliate. It was a nice park, though the buildings around the playing field made me feel like I was surrounded by a series of paddocks for horses instead of auxiliary buildings to a minor league baseball stadium. Nice place, though.
