As a member of the 11th Indiana infantry (Civil War reenacting unit), I want to see the ground that Lew Wallace faced in 1862. Some say he got lost, others say General Grant sent him the wrong way intentionally. Either way, I want to see it for myself.

I also want to search out the different locations based on the accounts of the soldiers who were there, not current guides and books. Several myths about Shiloh still exist today and I want to be able to make my own decisions on facts that I am able to gather.
