Most people we saw seemed to be staying there (cabins or camping), but it was a lovely drive to and from the lake, and a nice easy hike around (about 3 miles, easy ups and downs, partly paved). Views of Mt. Hood from one side were spectacular.

This seemed to be popular with families. It’s very rustic.
