Worth visiting!

A review of this place

Utah Lake is famous for its dirty water – but much of that is due to the lake’s shallowness, which allows mud and sediment to be easily stirred up. The beaches (especially in the south) are generally littered with dead fish, but the area near the marina offers a splendid view when the weather is nice.

Comments:

Utah Lake is rarely deeper that 8 feet.

I’ve been out on it in a boat. Some areas, your motor will actually hit bottom. Some people still like to fish this dirty, stinky lake. And it’s really the only lake we have around here. It’s best for a view from a distance. Mosquitoes tend to multiple quickly near the lake. And it depends a lot on where you enter the lake. If you’re learning to water ski, it’s not as scary as you are not in very deep water. Not like Lake Mead in NV. Now that was a deep lake, the last time I was there.
