Worth visiting!

japanese friendship garden

I love going to this Japanese Garden. It’s small as compared to other Japanese Gardens I’ve been to (Huntington Library and CSULB), but it’s still a very nice and peaceful place to walk through, see the exhibits in the building, and the koi fish in the pond.

The current exhibit at the garden is the Paper Framed Calligraphy. There were several framed calligraphy on display with interesting quotes. Some of my favorites were “Follow your heart” (pictured above), “Everyday is a new beginning,” and “Happily ever after” (translated in English).

Is the Kubota Gardens the one on Lake Washington Boulevard? We tried going to the Japanese Garden there once, but it was going to close soon, so we chose not to pay for admission for the short amount of time it was going to be open. I’d like to go there one day though…

It must be a hidden gem because I don’t remember reading anything about it in my Seattle guidebooks. Have a great holiday too!
