Worth visiting!

FOOD!

My favorite thing about Albuquerque is the food. Sopipias are AMAZING. They are a pastry unique to New Mexico (and a few other parts of the southwest US) and you can eat them plain with honey or stuffed with meat, beans & cheese. The ones at Pete’s Cafe in the small town Belen outside of Albuquerque are the BEST.

For fast food: Bob’s Burgers has reeeaaaally good chili burgers & chili dogs. The chili is actually HOT like it should be.
Also Alotta Burgers are good & have some yummy cherry shakes.

Other cool things: the pink freeways & the gorgeous purple mesas.

It’s also nice to go somewhere in the US where people know the difference between being Spanish and Mexican. People in Cali can’t grasp that concept…

Spanish and Mexican

I like your entry and review. But I beg to differ on your comment that people from Cali don’t know the difference between being Spanish and Mexican. It’s a huge difference. (I live in LA)

I've lived in SoCal my whole life also

and most people here don’t know the difference….usually people who are Spanish and/or Mexican know, but other people just don’t get it.
People will ask my heritage and I will say “Spanish”, and then they’ll say “oh, you don’t look Mexican”...oh, really…
It’s a minor thing though, and I really just think it’s funny.
