On our first European trip, my sister and I scheduled our flight back home from Zürich, not really knowing what to expect in spite our Swiss roots. In the end, the few days we spent here were among the most pleasant we had on our trip. Something about the city just seemed to remind us of home, and I guess we looked at home for several people asked us for directions (I think) as we wandered around, though we had to admit we didn’t speak German. Our Eurail passes allowed us to take a free boat ride on Lake Zürich, which was very relaxing after the train rides we’d been accustomed to. We will certainly visit Zürich and Switzerland again.
